Standard RAW format needed

This site was created after much discussion at the 2004 i3forum, an invitational gathering of digital imaging artists, engineers, and industry executives.

The importance of utilizing the raw data captured by digital cameras cannot be overstated. While the Camera RAW import system built into Photoshop is a valuable move in the right direction, there is still far too much fragmentation, encryption, and proprietary hassles inhibiting the work of photographers and artists.

A special breakout was held at the 2004 i3 forum where several conclusions and action items were discussed designed to move the industry forward to an open format. This site is dedicated to continuing this discussion.
