Trouble burning VCDs with PSE3

In Photoshop Elements 3.0, if you put a blank CD into the CD drive, after you choose Burn a Video CD (Custom Slide Show) or click the Burn button (VCD with Menu), Photoshop Elements 3.0 displays an error and a blank field in the Select Destination Drive section of the Burn window. It can no longer locate the CD. Futhermore, Photoshop Elements cannot locate your destination drive in the Burn window if you open System Information (Help -> System Info) after cancelling from burning a CD.

Restarting the application or inserting a CD into the CD drive before begin the burn process prevents these issues from occuring.

I have tried reinsterting the cd/dvd at all satges of the burn process and in still wont find my burn drives or any drives. If some one has any other suggestions please e me.
